Colloidal Silica (Morisol X30)

A refractory binder – Ideal complimentary product in the small particles range. It is used on an all-purpose basis in the applications where binding power is the preferred characteristic. Morisol X30 is one of the best established slurries in investment casting.

Used to make up slurry to build up a ceramic shell over a wax “plug” for casting bronze by the lost wax method. Can also be used to wet ceramic blanket to produce “moist-felt” for making glass slumping moulds, and to firm-up ceramic fibre within kilns.
