Otherwise known as “banding wheels”, this plastic turntable is for use on a work surface or table top for decorating ceramics and for modelling. Plastic being the cheaper and light-weight alternative to alloy metal or steel whirlers. |
Whirlers have concentric circles etched into the surface to aid “re-centring” of work in progress- the spinning motion aids with the banding process.
